LILONGWE SCHOOL DOMINATE NASFEST FESTIVAL AWARD

 








The International Youth Cultural Festival, aimed at promoting cultural exchange, successfully hosted the Nasfest festival at Madsoc Theater in Lilongwe. The event drew participation from ten schools, with Lilongwe Girls Secondary School, Likuni Boys, and New Generation emerging as prize winners.

Lilongwe Girls Secondary School received the top prize of K500,000 and a medal for their captivating play, which showcased the girls' acting skills as they portrayed women and men in society. Likuni Boys secured the second prize of K300,000, impressing the audience with their role-swapping performance, where some boys took on female roles.New Generation won the third prize for their well-rounded presentation, which included a play, poem, and performances that highlighted Yao culture.

The festival provided a platform for young talent to shine, promoting cultural awareness and exchange among the participating schools.
