Vice President Dr. Michael Usi Teams Up with Nigerian Filmmakers
Malawi's Vice President, Dr. Michael Usi, has partnered with Nigerian filmmakers to produce a movie titled "Malawi Virus." The film aims to highlight the negative impact of corruption.
"Talent is most important, and I want to use it to address about tourism, agriculture, and mines," Dr. Usi said. "The movie about Malawi Virus will emphasize on the disadvantages of corruption.
Dr. Usi, also known as Manganya, believes that drama and talent can be used to promote tourism and drive economic growth. "Drama runs in my veins," he said. "For talent, I want to make sure it's part of tourism."
Dr. Usi met the Nigerian filmmakers, Charles Awuru, Nkiru Sylvanus, and Charles Inojie, at Shepherd Bushiri's birthday celebration. "These people, I met them at Shepherd Bushiri's birthday, and we agreed to work together," he explain.
Dr. Usi sees this project as just the beginning. "This is just the beginning; there's more to come, and we will work with these talented people," he said.
